Blaze Audio PowerZone Control V1.4
Blaze Audio, a manufacturer of professional solutions for commercial audio applications and a subsidiary of Pascal A/S of Copenhagen, Denmark, announces the new PowerZone Control Version 1.4 DSP web app for the company’s PowerZone Connect full Matrix DSP amplifiers. Featuring an enhanced interface and a wealth of new functionality, PowerZone Control V1.4 is the most versatile DSP controller available for configuring audio/voice systems in locations requiring multi-zone audio set up with multiple microphone talk overs.
PowerZone Control facilitates effortless customization of the most detailed audio/voice systems and provides adept management of multiple DSP configurations. This includes multi-zone setup, input mixing, priority and ducking, input and output EQ, S/PDIF output routing, high-pass filter, loudspeaker management and presets, delay, Wall-S1 controller configuration, restrictions, Sine generator, and more. The new PowerZone Control V1.4 caters to the demanding requirements of advanced system installations such as retail stores, restaurants, hotels, educational facilities, theatres, bars, cafes, fitness locations, hospitality spaces, and facilities with multiple meeting/conference rooms.
With the free update, PowerZone Control V1.4 enables a true multi-zone matrix experience allowing for the combination of inputs to create 4 separate mix groups which are available to send to any output. For easy control of special announcements, the new web app has intuitive features to configure priority input and ducking to override primary audio (such as background music) throughout the various zones. The new software also provides virtual parametric EQ on each analog input and all outputs, including a high-pass filter that provides improved microphone speech clarity and natural sound. Equally important, PowerZone Control V1.4’s S/PDIF output routing capability readily facilitates the routing of zones and inputs to S/PDIF and expand the scope of the installation with additional power amplifiers.
Recognizing that the most important consideration for any installation is sound quality, Blaze Audio has a variety of loudspeaker presets that enable integrators to have extensive control for fine-tuning the sound. These loudspeaker preset files make it easy to perfect the loudspeaker’s soundscape in an instant – without requiring any special knowledge. Blaze Audio offers presets for commonly installed loudspeaker brands including Bose, Yamaha, JBL, Sonance, and many more. Further, these presets can be customized, renamed, and saved using the PowerZone Control web app directly from one's phone.
Completing its rich list of features, PowerZone Control V1.4 includes Delay functionality - providing the means to quickly ‘unify’ the overall sound between loudspeakers at the front of the space and those further back in the room. With PowerZone Control V1.4, integrators can add up to 100.00 ms of delay to any output (112.50ft/34.3m). Installation technicians will also appreciate the In-room controller configuration capability provided by PowerZone Control V1.4. This capability makes it a snap to configure Blaze Audio Wall-S1 controllers as well as 3rd party controller brands like Crestron, Control4, and Q-Sys.
Kevin Wilkin, Blaze Audio's Executive Sales Director for the Americas, commented on the new PowerZone Control V1.4 firmware update for the PowerZone Connect Series amplifiers, “Our new PowerZone Control V1.4 makes the process of configuring a wide range of spaces easier than ever, creating new installation opportunities for our PowerZone Connect series. The web app’s interface is intuitive, and the feature set is comprehensive. The result is a highly capable control and configuration package. PowerZone Control is embedded into our PowerZone Connect full Matrix DSP amplifiers and can be accessed from any device and browser via the PowerZone Connect built-in Wi-Fi or RJ45 network port. I’m confident that system integrators will find much to like.”
