Russound D1675

Russound, a company with expertise in premium, multi-room audio, is now shipping the much-anticipated D1675 16-channel Digital Amplifier. Designed to expand audio systems into more rooms or zones, or to increase audio output for larger spaces or outdoor areas where higher output volume is needed, the D-Series amplifiers are distinguished by their source and control flexibility, multichannel power, and easy-to-configure audio filter options.

"Our D-Series has been met with tremendous enthusiasm, and the D1675 is a direct response to the needs of our dealers and integrators," said Charlie Porritt, CEO, Russound. "This amplifier not only delivers powerful audio and advanced features, but it also provides our customers with the flexibility they need to create tailored audio experiences in any setting. It's an exciting addition to our product lineup that enhances ease of setup and integration."

In creating the D-Series amps, Russound succeeded in its key design goal: reducing the size of the amplifiers while boosting their feature set. The amp series uses an advanced digital design that results in smaller chassis sizes than in any previous generation of Russound amplifiers while delivering powerful audio. The 16-channel D1675 is 2RU high and delivers 75 watts per channel. Other models include the eight-channel D890 and the 12-channel D1290 (now available), both 1RU in height.

Demonstrating the company's commitment to innovation, the D-Series amplifiers include new, easily configurable audio filter options that allow installers to tailor sound output for specific applications. The D-Series models offer three filter modes: Full Range Sound for a typical 20Hz to 20kHz range, Low Pass Filter for supporting subwoofers with low-frequency audio, and High Pass Filter to focus on higher frequencies, protecting speakers and amplifiers from unnecessary strain.

Each channel on the D-Series amplifiers can be assigned one of three input options - two bus inputs or a dedicated zone input - providing flexibility in system design. This allows installers to power multiple zones of audio from a single chassis, simplifying the expansion of audio systems across various areas of a home.

For ease of use, the amplifiers offer three turn-on modes: Always On for continuous availability, Signal Sensing for energy-efficient operation, and 12V Trigger for customized on/off control. This versatility ensures the D-Series amplifiers are adaptable to any installation scenario, providing reliable performance while maintaining energy efficiency.
