Sonuscore, the virtual instrument developer behind The Score, The Orchestra Complete 4, and LUX Orchestral Strings, today announces two new expansion packs for The Score: Cinematic Motion and Ethereal Flows. Each pack adds 28 new Stories to the instrument, covering two distinct areas of cinematic moods. Together, they represent the first major content expansion for The Score since version 1.2.
The Score ships with over 160 Stories across a broad range of moods and contexts. The new expansion packs go deeper into two specific creative territories that working composers return to again and again: one bringing high-energy action and tension underscore, and the other, quieter, more delicate emotional spaces that require an entirely different set of tools.
CINEMATIC MOTION is built for the working end of orchestral scoring: action sequences, tension-building scenes, and large-scale cinematic moments. The Stories deliver powerful pulses and driving rhythmic underscore, drawing on large orchestral colours, trailer-style percussion, and hybrid elements including pumping synth basses. The emphasis throughout is on forward momentum. These are arrangement frameworks that establish energy and scale without competing for the composer's melodic space. The composer lays their own themes on top; the Stories provide the rhythmic and harmonic foundation underneath.
ETHEREAL FLOWS covers the opposite end of the palette. Built around delicate instruments, including piano, concert harp, celesta, strings, and pads, the pack is designed for emotional drama, atmospheric underscore, and otherworldly scenes. Evolving sonic layers and gently arpeggiating movement form shimmering textures that establish mood and harmonic flow while leaving room for the composer's melodic writing. Where Cinematic Motion pushes forward, Ethereal Flows opens up space for the melody to breathe.
Each expansion pack contains 28 new Stories, each with 4 KeySwitch variations offering different arrangement states, and 10 interlocked instruments that work together as a cohesive musical structure. Both packs are positioned as professional scoring tools rather than shortcuts. The Stories provide dynamic structure and arrangement frameworks; the composition remains entirely in the composer's hands.
